The 0.08wt%DOSS showed the best imbibition performance both with the largest imbibition height and the fastest rate among them.This phenomenon can be explained in more detail by the properties of the solution,such as surface tension,contact angle,and viscosity.Table 4 lists the results of diff erent concentrations measured at room temperature.The increased concentration was responsible for the smaller surface tension and contact angle,but a higher viscosity.According to Eq.(5),the imbibition rate suff ers from the combined action of these three factors.The larger surface tension,smaller contact angle,and lower viscosity were required to obtain the best imbibition rate.In this study,0.08wt%DOSS exhibited the largest value ofσcosθ/μ,followed by 0.05wt%and 0.10wt%DOSS,which was consistent with the experimental result.
