For the selectivity study,we chose Na+,K+,Mg 2+,and Ca 2+as competitive ions,all of which exist in real seawater and brines.Table 3 summarizes the distribution and selectivity coeffi cients we obtained in this test.The distribution coeffi cient of Li+is much higher than those of the other ions,which indicates that the adsorbents have a high adsorption selectivity for Li+.According to previous studies,the crown ethers in polymer materials may form a sandwich complexwith ions,so the selectivity can be enhanced compared with that of isolated crown ethers[31,32].
