The substrate was a 150 mm×100 mm×10 mm AISI4130 alloy steel with hardness of HV 350.The chemical composition of the AISI 4130 steel is listed in Table 1.Powders of two different hardness values with standard granularity of 100–270 mesh and a melting point of 1250°C are studied,which are Fe72.2Cr16.8Ni7.3Mo1.6Mn0.7C0.2Si1.2(HRC 29,marked as No.1)and Fe77.3Cr15.8Ni3.9Mo1.1Mn0.5C0.2Si1.2(HRC 46,marked as No.2).Prior to the cladding process,the Fe-based alloy powders were preplaced onto the surface of AISI 4130 substrate at a 1.2 mm thickness and dried at60°C for 2 h.
