The phenomena presented in Fig.8 are consolidated by Table 8,which compares the simulated and experimental NO and CO emissions in the different modes.It is clear that the simulated results are consistent with the experimental data in the two combustion modes.Under the test operating conditions,NO emission at the outlet in the DC mode is lower than that in the DD mode,because the specially designed configuration and draft type of the DC stove provide the time and space for the reduction of NO by the reducing components in the volatiles as well as the high-temperature char.Aftercombustion of combustible components in the oxygenrich atmosphere in the DC mode ensures a rather lower CO emission than that in the DD mode.While for the CO emission,the coal combustion in the DD mode is not stable as in the DC mode,which cannot be captured in the simulation and thus results in a great discrepancy between the experimental and simulated data in this mode.
