Based on the granulation tests,the appropriate range of burnt lime is between 1.5wt%and 2.0wt%(Section 3.1.2),which is according with the generally burnt lime consumption in the practical production.Therefore,in this study,the burnt lime dosage of blends was fixed at 2.0wt%.Table 10shows the effect of the ratio of limonite adhering particles on the sintering indices of blends containing a high proportion of CSC.With the content of limonite adhering particles increasing from 0wt%to 4wt%,ΔP of the mixture decreases,which means that the permeability of the mixture significantly improved.However,the sintering indices of blends only improved slightly when the content of limonite adhering particles increased to 4wt%.It is apparent that the flame speed of sinter mixture did not significantly increase with the increased limonite adhering dosage,as shown in Table10.This indicates that the permeability of the sinter mixture was not apparently improved with the increased limonite adhering dosage.Fig.4 shows the effect of the content of limonite adhering fines(<0.25 mm)on the sinter strand permeability,and it is evident that the permeability of the sinter mixture was not apparently improved with the increased limonite adhering dosage during the sintering process.This is because the structure of quasi particles was destroyed easily under the impact of the hot steam during the sintering process,leading to deterioration of the permeability of the bed.
