A prismatic barge is chosen to study the effect of green water on deck by the proposed method.The principal particulars of the barge are given in Table 1.The deck of the barge is kept2.4 m above the waterline while it is in static condition.A schematic diagram of the same is presented in Fig.4，which shows the deck of the barge and the point where the green water pressure is measured.In this paper，head wave of 5 m height is taken for all the calculations.
