The vertical bending moment is calculated for wave to ship length ratio equal to 1.0,1.5,2.0,and 2.5 and plotted in Figs.9,10,and 11 to know the effect of green water in vertical bending moment.It can be seen from the Figs.9,10,and 11that it has less effect on vertical bending moment at mid-ship as well as bow.In Fig.11,the vertical bending moment is plotted along the length of the hull for different wave conditions.It can be seen that the overall profile changes significantly with green water effect.In Table 2,the percentage change in the VBM at bow and mid-ship is given due to green water loading.
