There were significant differences between metabolite types detected with two methods.As shown in Table 2,more types of metabolites were found in seeds of nine different aromatic rice varieties with method 1 compared with metabolites detected with method 2.Specifically,more metabolites were detected with method1∶96 types of metabolites were detected in Aiganxiangdaowan;66types of metabolites were detected in Huaibinxiangxiangdao.In most aromatic rice varieties,more than 78 types of metabolites were detected with method 1(Table 2).Relatively fewer types of metabolites were detected with method 2∶30 types of metabolites were detected in Aiganxiangdaowan;only 2 types of metabolites were detected in Baixianggeng.Overall,generally more than 66types of metabolites were detected in seeds of different aromatic rice varieties with method 1,while much fewer types of metabolites were detected with method 2.As shown in Table 2,fewer than 20types of metabolites were detected in most aromatic rice varieties with method 2,except for Xixianxiangdaowan and Nongxiangjing.Therefore,the results suggested that method 1 was superior to method 2 in detecting metabolites in seeds of different aromatic rice varieties.
