Though the isentropic calculation for Table 1 does not suffer from the instability with any value of the isentropic exponent,the actual CFD simulation cannot stably be conducted when it is smaller than unity.Actually even if it is greater than unity but still very close to the unity,the simulation can be quite oscillatory and requires longer simulation time for the convergence.So it is advisable to use a reference pressure close to the turbine exit.This is expected to be effective to predict more accurate power output which is directly resulting in an accurate prediction of the efficiency.In light of the above considerations,the exit condition is considered to be suitable for the reference state.
