The cumulative CO2yield tended to be stabilized after three rounds of cultivation, which for the last round of cultivation was shown in Fig.1.The group TC produced more CO2than the group MC in 23 days.Besides, the degradation process of TC was finished in 23 days, when the MC was still producing CO2.In addition, the data fitted by the Gompertz equation were shown in Table 2.The maximum cumulative CO2yield of(246.73±2.80)mL/g VS was obtained by TC-Y,which was 28.75%higher than that of MC-Y.The cumulative CO2production of TC-Y was significantly higher Besides, the maximum CO2production rate(Rm)of(15.48±1.09)mL/(CO2·day)was achieved by TC-Y,which was 52.27%higher than that of MC-Y.The Rmof group TC was significantly higher than the group MC.However, the lag-phase times of TC and MC were approximatively, there is no significant difference between the groups.Which means the temperature have little effect on the lag-phase time.As a consequence, the consortia enriched under thermophilic condition revealed higher CO2productions rate compared to the mesophilic condition.Among them, the inoculum of anaerobic active sludge showed the best degradation efficiency for corn stalk.
