where q is the adsorbed As(μg/g)at time t(min),and a and b are constants.The parameters of the model on the three samples are summarized in Table 2.Based on the R2 values(>0.95),the kinetics of As adsorption on the three samples could be described by the model equation.The higher value of a in the power function equation suggested the higher adsorbed amount of adsorbate with time.A similar type of inference on the well-fitted kinetic model of As adsorption was drawn by Mukhopadhyay et al.[27]using Ti-pillared smectite,Fe-exchanged smectite,unmodified smectite,phosphate-bound kaolinite,and unmodified kaolinite.
