《Analyses on the Overall Codon Usage Pattern in Fish Rhabdovirus》
In this study,the ENC value was calculated to measure the degree of codon bias of each gene.The distribution of ENC values of all the genes was from 42.938 to 60.824,and the higher ENC values indicated a general weak bias in the codon usage of the members of fish Rhabdovirus.The average GC12%and GC3%of all the selected genes was 40.73%and 56.72%,respectively.The two nucleotide contents had a significant fluctuation,namely,GC12%varied from 30.97%to 54.62%,and GC3%varied from35.07%to 73.68%of all viral functional genes.This suggested that there was much great relatively stable in the usages of codons with AT nucleotides at the third position compared with GC at the third position.The average percentage of GC content among genes of this group was 49.90%.Only the genome of dolphin rhabdovirus showed low GC content(40.06%),and the other genomes of fish rhabdovirus in this study revealed equivalent GC nucleotides frequency(Table 1).
