《Dielectric Properties of Polytetrafluoroethylene/CaCu_3Ti_4O_(12) Composites》
The comparison of values ofεand tanδfor PTFE/CCTO composites with different volume percent is shown in Table I.Parameters for dielectric properties(εand tanδ)were measured at low frequency(10 kHz)and high frequency(corresponding to center frequency of 8 to 13 GHz)respectively. It is notable that the dielectric loss with the value of 0.007 8 is rather small for PTFE+50 vol%CCTO composite at 8.84 GHz,which is a key point for many dielectric components.Dielectric properties of the composite are closely related to the dielectric polarization modes and the types of loss. The main polarization type of filler and matrix is electronic polarization. While space charge polarization is the primary feature for the composite, which derived from the accumulation of abundant space charge between the heterogeneous medium.Electronic polarization occurs in a short time, while the relaxation time for space charge polarization is much longer.Differences between these two types of polarization lead to higher dielectric permittivity and loss tangent at low frequency compared with the parameters in microwave frequency. In particular, the higher CCTO concentration contributes to the more active interfaces, followed by the enhancement of the dielectric permittivity and loss tangent in the composites.
