Fig.8(b)gives the polarization curves of PANI and PANI/Ce(NO3)3 electrodes in 0.5 M H2SO4.An obvious change can be noticed when varying the amount of Ce(NO3)3.The detailed information is listed in Table 1.It is found that the corrosion potential shifts from-0.338 V for PANI to-0.079 V for PANI/Ce(NO3)3 with 10 wt%of Ce3+ions.Meanwhile,the corrosion current density reduces from 16.0 to 1.4μA/cm2.The anticorrosion properties of composite have been improved significantly.Thus,Ce ions as corrosion inhibitor can be released successfully from the conjugated structure to exert their high-efficiency anticorrosion properties.
