As shown in Table 9,the NO emission only produced from the redox reactions of HCN and NH3 is called initial NO emission(e.g.,494.5 mg/m3)in this study. When the reduction effects of CO,CH4 and char are introduced into the simulation successively and separately, the NO emission decreases to 424.0 mg/m3,352.4 mg/m3,and245.1mg/m3 respectively, corresponding to the reducing rates of 14.3%,28.9%,and 50.5%of CH4,CO and char.If the reactions of NO with CO,CH4 and char are incorporated in turn into the modeling scheme, the cumulative reduction rates of CH4+CO,CH4+char,CO+char and CH4+CO+char are high up to 32.8%,53.1%,59.6%and 66.4%respectively,and the final emission of NO decreases to 166.2 mg/m3 under the condition of stable combustion. It is clear that the reducing ability increases gradually from CH4,CO to char, but the combined reducing ability of them cannot be determined by a simple addition, thus should be paid attention to in the design and development of coal-fired domestic stoves.
