《Effect of wet flue gas desulfurization(WFGD) on fine particle(PM_(2.5)) emission from coal-fired boilers》
WFGD:wet flue gas desulfurization.
One typical CFB boiler equipped with a limestone–gypsum process based WFGD system,a GB equipped with a magnesium process based WFGD,and a GB equipped with a sodium alkali process based WFGD system were investigated in this study, and they were named as unit A,unit B and unit C,respectively. All of these three coal combustion boilers are heating boilers located in Hebei Province in northern China.Table 1 summarizes the profiles of the three units. As shown in Fig.1,units A and B employ a selective catalytic reduction(SCR)process for NOx removal, followed by an electric-bag composite precipitator(ESP+FF)(for unit A) or a fabric filter(FF)process(for unit B)for dust removal, and a WFGD process before flue gas entering the stack.Unit C is only equipped with an integrated desulfurization–dedust device. For these three study boilers, their load and gaseous pollutant emission concentrations were relatively stabilized, and the operations of boiler combustion and WFGD were not altered during the sampling work. The samples were taken before and after the WFGD as shown in Fig.1.
