As shown in table 5,the determining coefficients of each drying model equation were more than 0.98,indicating that the 6 selected drying models can describe the moisture change of Codonopsis pilosula roots during the drying process.However,compared to the other five drying models,the Modified Page model has the maximum average R2(0.9988),the smallest average RMSE(0.0002)and the smaller averageχ2(0.01348).Therefore,under the conditions that air temperature,DJNMT and air velocities were between 40~80℃,5~15 cm and air velocity 11~14 m/s,respectively,the Modified Page model was the most suitable model for describing the moisture change in the drying process of Codonopsis pilosula roots dried by AIJD.
