The experiment was conducted in the test field(37°58'32\""N,114°36'33\""E)in Dongke Village,Luancheng District,Shijiazhuang City,Hebei Province in 2015.The experimental site has an altitude of 56 m,annual average temperature of 12.8°C,≥10°C accumulated temperature of 4 232°C,average annual precipitation of 474.9 mm(mainly concentrated in June~August),average annual frost-free period of205 d and annual sunshine duration of 2 521.9 h.According to the weather forecast,the annual average temperature,≥10°C accumulated temperature,average annual precipitation,annual sunshine duration and first-frost date in Luancheng in 2015 were 17°C,3 429.0°C,972.9 mm,1 939.34 h and October29th,respectively.The light,heat,water and other meteorological data during the growth period of forage sorghum were shown in Table 1.The test field has flat terrain,convenient irrigation and drainage,suitable moisture content and moderate fertility.The test soil was loam with organic matter of 1.73%,total nitrogen of 1.12 g/kg,alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen of 79.5 mg/kg,available phosphorus of 22.3 mg/kg,available potassium of 113.9 mg/kg and pH value of 7.2.The previous crop was sunflower,which was harvested on July 20th.The seeds of forage sorghum were sown in rows on July 23rd for the first phase,and the seeding rate in each row was the same,20 kg/hm2.
