The calculated kinetic parameters(k1,k2,qe,cal)and correlation coefficient R2 are shown in Table 1.It can be concluded that the pseudo-second-order kinetics model fits the experimental data better with higher coefficient of determination(R2)than pseudo-first-order kinetics model does,suggesting that chemisorption is the rate-determining step for the adsorption of MB by the hydrogel beads[47].
