As shown in Table 1,both leaf and stem extracts were effective against Gram-positive bacteria including S.epidermidis,E.faecium,E.faecalis and S.aureus with MIC of 12.5,50,25,25μg/mL respectively.Among the eight bacteria tested,S.epidermidis was the most susceptible to the plant extracts,followed by E.faecalis and S.aureus and then E.faecium.However,the extracts were not effective against Gram-negative bacteria.
