As shown in Table 1，both leaf and stem extracts were effective against Gram-positive bacteria including S.epidermidis，E.faecium，E.faecalis and S.aureus with MIC of 12.5，50，25，25μg/mL respectively.Among the eight bacteria tested，S.epidermidis was the most susceptible to the plant extracts，followed by E.faecalis and S.aureus and then E.faecium.However，the extracts were not effective against Gram-negative bacteria.
