As shown in Table 4,there were strong correlations between sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature, precipitation and plant height, leaf stem ratio and DW/FW ratio of forage sorghum during the growth period in autumn idle land.Among them, the correlation coefficients between sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature, precipitation and plant height were 0.978,0.977and 0.978 respectively, that is,the correlations were all significantly positive(P<0.01);the correlation coefficients between sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature, precipitation and DW/FW ratio were all 0.875,that is,the correlations were all significantly positive(P<0.01);and the correlation coefficients between sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature, precipitation and leaf stem ratio were-0.969,-0.967 and-0.969 respectively, that is,the correlations were all significantly negative(P<0.01).During the growth period of forage sorghum in autumn idle land, the correlation coefficients between sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature, precipitation and conversion value of sowing date were all-1.000,almost completely negatively correlated, indicating that the sunshine duration, effective accumulated temperature and precipitation during the growth period of forage sorghum decreased with the delay of sowing date and the effects of sowing date on plant height, leaf stem ratio and DW/FW ratio of forage sorghum in autumn idle land could be explained by relevant meteorological data. For example, when the sowing date is late, the reduction of sunshine duration reduces the photosynthesis of forage sorghum, the decrease of effective accumulated temperature reduces the caloric requirement of sorghum growth and development, and the reduced precipitation leads to dry field environment which is not conducive to the growth of forage sorghum, thus affecting the plant height, leaf stem ratio and DW/FW ratio of forage sorghum in autumn idle land.
