《Humidity-resistant inorganic binder for sand core making in foundry practice》
The tensile strengths are shown in Table 2.It can be seen that the tensile strength of the samples decreased significantly,and the humidity resistance of the samples was poor as the storage time increased.However,the 4-hour strength reduction of the modified water glass sand core(by 0.32 MPa)was greater than that of the unmodified one(by 0.24 MPa).The results in Table 1 demonstrate the humidity resistance of the modified water glass sand is higher than that of the unmodified one.Therefore,the following tests and conclusions were based on the modified water glass.
