《Resin Matrix Brake Materials Reinforced by Nano-Al_2O_3 for Mining Equipment》
Hardness,sintered density and porosity of sintered friction materials are presented in Table 2.It can be noted from Table 2 that the hardness of specimens NA1,NA2 and NA3 increases with increasing nanoAl2O3 particle content.It means that the nano-Al2O3particle shows a good dispersion strengthened effect on matrix due to the addition of nano-Al2O3[23].The hardness of MA4 is lower than that of specimen NA2.The strengthened effect of nano-Al2O3 is superior to micro-Al2O3.The sintered density of different specimens does not show large fluctuation with the adjustment of components in formulation.The density of NA2 is higher than that of MA4 with the same Al2O3content.All specimens keep similar porosity,whereas the nano-Al2O3 is in favor of the densification of specimens.
