《Resting-state network complexity and magnitude changes in neonates with severe hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy》
Data are expressed as the mean±SD(two-sample t-test).
From January 2013 to December 2015,we recruited 28full-term neonates with HIE(14 mild cases and 14 severe cases).Diagnosis and inclusion criteria were in accordance with the HIE diagnostic criteria and clinical classification of practical neonatal HIE,revised by the Neonatology Group of the Chinese Pediatric Society of the Chinese Medical Association in Changsha(Leandrou et al.,2016).MRI data were only acquired for neonates aged 8–14 days,as they were deemed sufficiently clinically stable to undergo MRI.Neonatal patients with any of the following were excluded from the study:genetic metabolic diseases, central nervous system infection, congenital malformation of the brain, and chromosomal abnormality.Table 1 presents the demographic information and clinical characteristics of all the participants. There were no significant differences in sex, gestational age, mean weight,or age on the day of examination between the two groups(P>0.05).Figure 1 contains a flow chart of the study procedure. The writing and editing of this article were performed in accordance with the STrengthening the Reporting of OBservational Studies in Epidemiology(STROBE)Statement(Additional file 3).
