The two starch-based coagulants with PACl were employed for coagulation of the raw surface water from the Jiuxiang River.The main characteristics of the raw surface water are listed in Table 1.The initial turbidity and chemical oxygen demand(COD)of this surface water are approximately 15.0–25.0 NTU and 3.0–5.0 mg/L,respectively.The coagulation performances of PACl,St-G,St-E and their combinations with different addition sequences are all presented in Fig.2.Accordingly,the optimal doses and corresponding residual turbidities by various coagulation methods have been summarized in Table 2.
