The burn up codes ORIGEN2 and CIN-DER90 are used to calculate the total fission products inventory at the end of life of the ground prototype.Based on investigations on physical and chemical states of iodine under circumstances of accidents in water reactors and liquid metal cooled reactors,it’s believed that iodine exists mainly in the form of aerosol of metal iodide.Without the generation of massive steam during accidents,the environment in the hall is dry and goes against the oxidation of iodide.Using the model described in the report ANS/ANSI-5.4-2011,a code is developed to calculate the birth release ratio of noble gas and volatile fission products,and the gaseous fission products inventory in the gas tank is given.A model describing the fission products mitigation process inside the vacuum vessel and in the hall is established.The environment source terms under the two accidents are calculated using the model.The factors that affect the accident environment source term are discussed,including leakage rate,emergency response time,iodine physical and chemical state,deposition and resuspension rate,and internal circulation conditions.The results have shown that the radioactive consequences in accidents are within the limitations of regulatory laws,the designs of the ground prototype are proved to be reasonable and safe.The emergency response time proves to be of great importance and the environments source term in accidents decreases with a shorter response time.Table 1gives the main fission products inventory at the EOL and Table 2and Table 3give the radiological consequence of the two accidents.
