In Table 1,we compared the results of some recent research in regard to diode-pumped passively Q-switched mid-infrared solid-state lasers based on 2D material saturable absorbers.From Table 1,one can see that the present result is indeed pretty good,with relatively large output power and pulse energy.Therefore,it could be safely concluded that WS2as a saturable absorber applicable for mid-infrared wavelength is quite competitive with other 2D materials,and it is worth developing further.
