where the aluminoxane products would contain two types of units,―Al(OPh)―O―and―Al(Me)―O―.In contrast to the AlMe3 hydrolysis at very low temperatures under carefully controlled conditions, the hydrolysis of the product obtained from the reaction between AlR3 and phenol could be carried out under more moderate conditions[49,50].In our study, the reaction between AlMe3 and phenol was conducted at 0°C and water was slowly added at the same temperature. After 15 min from water addition, the temperature was slowly increased to 20°C to continue the reaction.Oligomerizations were then initiated by the introduction of ethylene and the pre-catalyst L-Fe(acac)3adapting the molar ratio of[Al]/[Fe]to be 2000 and routinely performed at a temperature of 50°C over 30 min.The influence of[―OH]/[Al]and[H2O]/[Al]molar ratios on ethylene oligomerization was systematically studied. The results are presented in Table 1.
