In spring silkworm stage of2016,silkworm rearing test was conducted with mulberry leaves under herbaceous cultivation using conventional leaf rearing.As shown in Tab.4,there was no significant difference in body weight of each instar moulting silkworm,sleep rate of each instar,experience of the fifth instar,experience of the whole instars between silkworms reared with herbaceous cultivation mulberry leaves and control mulberry leaves.As shown in Tab.5 and Tab.6,the cocoon weight,cocoon shell weight,cocoon yield per 10 000 larvae,cocoon filament length and non-broken filament length of Chuanshan×Shushui reared with herbaceouscultivationmulberry leaves were 12.81%,14.29%,13.85%,5.95%and 7.68%lower than that reared with control mulberry leaves,respectively;but the percentage of common cocoons was 0.16%higher than the control;the cleanness and neatness were 0.2 and 1.25points higher than the control;the fila-ment size was 0.196 dtex lower than the control.The cocoon weight,cocoon shell weight,cocoon yield per 10 000 larvae,cocoon filament length and non-broken filament length of Jingsong×Haoyue were11.06%,10.20%,11.53%,9.46%and9.03%lower than the control,respectively;but the percentage of common cocoons was 1.77%higher than the control;the cleanness and neatness were 0.12 and2.50 points higher the control.Reelability percentage and silk yielding of dried wool cocoon varied among different silkworm varieties,and the growth and development status of silkworm were basically the same.
