《Risk factors for progression to acute-on-chronic liver failure during severe acute exacerbation of chronic hepatitis B virus infection》
CI:Confidence interval;OR:Odds ratio;ALB:Albumin;ALT:Alanine aminotransferase;AST:Aspartate aminotransferase;BUN:Urea nitrogen;CHE:Cholinesterase;HD:Hepatic decompensation;MELD:Model for end-stage liver disease;PLT:Platelet.
By comparing the baseline clinical characteristics and laboratory findings in patients with and without post-admission progression to HD,we found that among 43patients who had progression to HD,42(97.7%)had LC on admission. However, among the 92 patients without progression to HD,only 20(21.7%)had LC on admission.Further details on comparisons between baseline characteristics of patients with and without post-admission progression to HD and ACLF can be found in Tables 1 and 2,respectively.
