As we are particularly interested in how changing production structure may affect the adoption of milk safety practices,the adoption rates of raw milk safety practices by farm size and type are shown in Tables 2 and 3,respectively.The average adoption rates of raw milk safety measures were increasing with farm size 41.05,49.28 and 63.58%,respectively,for farm sizes of 1–4,5–19,and above 20cows.The adoption rates also showed an increasing trend for each component of milk safety measures,except for farmers with above 20 cows on milk storage hygiene.Meanwhile,compared with farmers who have less than 5cows,the adoption rate of farmers with more than 20 cows is about 20%higher than on cow health and information record components,about 40%higher than on cow raising environment and milk hygiene components,and more or less on milk storage hygiene component(Table 2).
