a Determined by ICP-OESb Measured by NH 3-TPDc The ratio of Brnsted/Lewis acid sites measured by Py-IR

The acidity of the zeolites was estimated via NH 3-TPD.NH 3-TPD profi les are shown in Fig.6 a,and the corresponding results are listed in Table 2.Two well-resolved desorption peaks,a high-temperature peak and a low-temperature peak, were observed in NH 3-TPD curves. The high-temperature peak is caused by ammonia desorption from strong acid sites[53].By contrast, the low-temperature peak is not attributed to ammonia adsorbed directly on the acid site but weakly on the NH 4+cation,which was adsorbed on Br?nsted acid site[54].The peak area of a desorption peak was proportional to the amount of acid sites in thesamples, and an estimation for the amount of acid sites could be obtained with the assumption of one NH 3 molecule per acid site[55].As shown in Table 2,the strong acid sites and total amount of acid sites of C-ZSM-5 were 0.205 and0.657 mmol/g,respectively.With the addition of APAM,both factors decreased slightly.AHN-0.008 possessed the least strong and total acid sites of 0.157 and 0.600 mmol/g,respectively.As shown in Table 2,although the SiO 2/Al 2 O 3ratios analyzed by ICP-OES were almost the same between C-ZSM-5 and AHN-X samples, the Al content underwent changes between C-ZSM-5 and AHN-X zeolites.Numerous studies have shown that the acidic properties are fundamentally determined by the Al content in zeolites[55,56].Therefore,for the AHN-X samples, various amounts of Al content caused the corresponding changes in acidic properties. The presence of APAM slightly infl uenced the incorporation of Al atom into the framework and led to minimal changes in acidity between C-ZSM-5 and AHN-X zeolites.
