The results showed that management(protected vs.unprotected),climatic conditions(arid vs.semi-arid)and their interaction had a significant(P<0.05)effects on oak canopy cover(Table 1).These variables also produced significant effects on soil water content,silt,BR and SIR.However,for TNV,clay,Pava,Kava,total N,and SOC,only the effects of management and climatic conditions were significant,while their interaction was not significant(Table 1).The percent of sand and BD were solely affected by management,while EC and pH were affected only by climatic conditions.
