Tab.10shows the results of LPTMR.LPTMR is designed to reduce the number of critical bits in LUTs,which is consistent with the presented results.Tab.10also shows that LPTMR can also reduce the number of critical bits in MUXes and PIPs,thus an overall reduction in critical bits.However,after applying LPTMR,the remaining critical bits have a higher SFR,meaning if a critical bit is upset,it will impact more output vectors.MTTF,however,varies inversely with the product of SFRand the number of critical bits and,as shown in Tab.11,LPTMRdoes bring improvement in MTTF.These results illustrate the inherent challenge in improving reliability through the addition of more logic.
