The results of the 3 field surveys on June 18th,August 10th and September 12th(Table 4)showed that the number of spiders in the parasitic control area of Trichogramma was significantly higher than in the pesticide application area.The number of spiders in the field exceeded 400 per 100 rice plant bunches in each of the 2 treatments without insecticides(T2and T4),but was only 266.3 and 169.7 per 100 rice plant bunches in the T1 and T3 with insecticides,respectively.It could be seen that insecticide destroyed pests in rice fields and destroyed useful insects such as spiders and destroyed the ecological balance system in paddy fields;on the other hand,the use of parasitism of Trichogramma could greatly improve the number of natural enemies of main insect pests in rice fields,which not only protected the ecological environment of rice fields,but effectively controlled the density of pests in the field,thus prolonging the effect of pest control as well.
