It is vividly demonstrated by the Table 2 that BQ complex extractant is an effective method to reduce the volatile phenol content of the residual ammonia water and distilled ammonia waste water samples.In addition,the sewage oil content of two waste water samples increased after the extraction procedure because of the BQ complex extractant.As an oily chemical,some of the BQ complex extractant will remain in water,but it is worth noting that the sewage oil content of the extracted residual ammonia water is higher than that of the extracted distilled ammonia waste water sample.
