Based on the former comparison,it is straightforward to conclude that the first-order TEBEM and IGF method can deal with offshore structures on the side wall effects effectively.Hence,the KVLCC2 ship model scaled 100 times was used to calculate the first-order heave response and second-order horizontal drift load in head sea.To predict the effects of different side wall,the widths of the wave tank were selected to be B1=7.0 m and B2=30.00 m.These values were equal to the width of Towing Tank and Deep-Seakeeping Tank in Harbin Engineering University.The parameters of ship model principal dimensions are listed in Table 1.
