The geological survey carried out in the middle part of the Xing’an–Mongolian orogeny has obtained,in recent years,a lot of new data on Paleozoic stratigraphy,magmatism,tectonic boundary and orogeny structure.However,integrated publications remain lacking,particularly in geological map databases.With data mainly derived from the 1∶50 000 regional geological survey completed in the area from 2008 to 2018,and guided by plate tectonics theory,we compiled a 1∶500 000 spatial database of the geological maps of the whole region (Table 1,Wang SQ et al.,2020).The main conclusions of the present project are as follows:the era of key stratum such as the Wenduermiao Group,Bainaimiao and Amushan formations have been re-defined;and the Diyanmiao ophiolitic mélange belt is re-expressed.By considering the ophiolitic belt,key stratum correlation and tectonic magmatism,we revised the tectonic units and strata with unified boundaries,thus providing reliable basic data for the study of orogenic belts and the analysis of metallogenic geological background.
