The effects of different proportions of fermentation bed padding on intestinal flora of weaning piglets are presented in Tab.4.As shown in Tab.4,compared with the control group, experimental groups I,II and III significantly reduced the number of E.coli and Salmonella in colon and cecum(P<0.05),and significantly improved the number of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, experimental group IV also reduced the number of E.coli and Salmonella and increased the number of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, but no significant difference was observed(P>0.05).There were no significant differences among experimental groups I,II and III(P>0.05).The results suggested that it had certain inhibitory effect against harmful bacteria in colon and cecum of weaning piglets by using spent mushroom substrate of P.eryngii as fermentation bed padding, and had certain promotion effect on the growth of beneficial microflora as well.
