When the regeneration was completed 5 min later,the hoister was started to lift up the electro-adsorption module from the regeneration tank,and air blowers disposed at the inclined top of the two sides of the ultrasonic regeneration tank assembly were turned on to blow the ethanol solution adhered on the electro-adsorption module off to the regeneration tank.Then,the regenerated electro-adsorption module was delivered to the electro-adsorption tank along the guide rail.By repeating above steps,the RCOOH concentration in the yellow water in the electro-adsorption tank was reduced gradually,and the RCOOH concentration in the regeneration tank increased continuously.After several times of adsorption and regeneration,the concentration of straight saturated fatty acids(RCOOH)contained in the yellow water in the electro-adsorption tank was reduced to a very low level.At this time,it could be observed that the conductivity indicated by the conductivity meter disposed in the electro-adsorption tank hardly decreased,indicating that the straight saturated fatty acids in yellow water were mostly transferred to the regeneration tank.Finally,the circulating pump and the circulating valve were turned off,followed by turning on the transferring valve,and the circulating pump was turned on again to transfer the remaining yellow water after the extraction of straight saturated fatty acids to a waste water storage facility through the transfer valve and transfer pipe.The remaining yellow water was detected for the concentrations of various organic matters,as shown in Table 1.It could be seen from Table 1 that after the electro-adsorption extraction,the concentrations of the five straight-chain saturated fatty acids were reduced from 6 534,1 254,2 836,391 and 8 604 mg/L to 1.2,97.4,133.0,155.6and 197.0 mg/L,respectively.The extraction rates of the five straight-chain saturated fatty acids were calculated to be 98.91%,92.23%,95.31%,60.21%and 97.71%,respectively,and especially,the three main acids(acetic acid,butyric acid and caproic acid)had an extraction rate up to 95%.When all the remaining yellow water was discharged from the electro-adsorption tank,fresh yellow water can be poured into the electro-adsorption tank,and above steps were repeated.
