After the B.tau complex was separated from other insects by a taxonomic key（White&Elson-Harris，1992），two scutum color patterns（Fig.1）were designed as criteria for assigning them into two groups（Table 1）.In the first group（Gr.I），the medial vitta was a yellow line along the sagittal plane，expanding posteriorly to the scutellum.In the second group（Gr.II），it was a yellow band with a black strip inserted in the presutural region，constricted posteriorly to form a sharp point.All grouped samples were individually labeled and preserved in 1.5 ml plastic vials in 70%ethanol.Samples of both Gr.I and Gr.II are deposited at the Department of Biology，Faculty of Science，Mahidol University in Bangkok，Thailand.
