Upper airway stenosis is usually classified by Myer-Cotton[15]，but it is not suitable for the entire central airway.The author uses a 5-level classification method（Table2）[15].It is generally considered that grade 1 is mild stenosis with a little symptom such as mild cough；grade 2 and 3are moderate stenosis with some symptoms such as cough and shortness of breath；grade 4 and 5 are severe stenosis with severe dyspnea，three concave signs，cyanosis，even suffocation.The degree of dyspnea mainly relates to the diameter of the narrow airway.The bronchoscopy treatment isn’t required，when the airway stenosis is grade 1.When the degree of luminal stenosis is more than grade 4 caused by blockage of the lesion or compression，the bronchoscopy interventional therapy is needed urgently.
