Overhead supplemental FR light significantly increased ripe fruit yield and total plant biomass(Fig.2).Specifically,ripe fruit yield was increased by 7.6,12 and 12.6%in FR12,EOD-FR1.5 and EOD-FR0.5 treatments,respectively,compared with that in control(Fig.2-A).Total plant biomass was increased by 9–16%in three FR light treatments(Fig.2-B),which resulted from a higher dry weight of fruits,leaves as well as stems(Table 2).No significant difference could be observed between the three FR light treatmentsin fruit yield and total plant biomass production.
