The historical daily meteorological datasets of the 18ground-based stations（Fig.1）came from the Meteorological Data Center of the China Meteorological Administration（CMA）（http://data.cma.cn/） ，and consist of precipitation，maximum and minimum air temperature，relative humidity，and wind speed from 1981 to 2007.In addition，daily runoff data for one hydrological station and monthly runoff records for another two hydrological stations across the LRB came from the Ministry of Water Resources.Table 1 summarizes the basic information of the three hydrological stations.
