Note:M means Mengzhou sediment,and H means Huayuankou sediment
Yellow River sediment was mixed with 5.0 wt%or 10.0 wt%Ca(OH)2 as well as some water to make test specimen.When the Mengzhou sediment was adopted,the dosage of mixing water was 10 wt%.But when the Huayuankou sediment was adopted,the mixing water was 9 wt%.The reason why the dosage of mixing water was different for different sediment is that the mixing water would be squeezed out from Huayuankou sediment in the press forming process.The particle size of Huayuankou sediment is larger than that of Mengzhou sediment,so the water absorption property of Huayuankou sediment is worse than that of the Mengzhou sediment.The mix proportion for this test is shown in Table 4.And the compressive strength of specimen is shown in Fig.4.
