whereηand a stand for overpotential and Tafel constant,respectively.b is the Tafel slope,and j represents the current density.The curves of Tafel slopes derived from the linear regions of overpotential vs.the logarithm of current density in polarization curves(Fig.5b)are exhibited in Fig.5(c).A slope of 28 mV dec-1for commercial Pt/C was obtained,which is in accordance with the reported value[37].For the CoSe2-180,a small Tafel slope obtained from the linear region is 35 mV dec-1,which is comparable to that of the commercial Pt/C.Moreover,compared to recent reports in Table 1,the Tafel slope of CoSe2-180 is quite outstanding.The small Tafel slope is profitable for practical applications,because it causes the faster enhancement of HER rate with increasing overpotential[38].
