whereμis the net dipole moment in Debye（10–18esu·cm），n is the total number of electrons，e is the charge on an electron，–4.8×10–10 esu，and R is the difference，in cm，between the‘‘centroids’’of positive and negative charge[28–29].The calculation uses the previously-reported data[2，5，16].The calculated results show that the magnitude of distortion of PO4 polyhedrons from Te8P4O26 to Te2P2O9 decreases gradually，and the dipole moment follows the same trend（see Table 2），which is consistent with the results from the IR spectra.
