The SEM image and elemental distribution of the incompletely reacted residue(Figs.8 (a)and 8(b)) indicate thepresence of an obvious core–shell structure.Because of the difficult dissolution of zinc ferrite, the core, with high Fe and Zn contents, corresponded to the unreacted area in the center of the raw material particles. The surface of the shell was covered by SiO2.In contrast, the SEM image and elemental distribution of the completely reacted residue(Figs.8 (c)and 8(d)) indicate that the structure was uniform and composed mainly of SiO2,with white dots in the edges which were identified as Pb and O.In addition, the elements analysis results of the spots labeled in Figs.8(a)and8(c)tested by EDS were listed in Tables 3 and 4,respectively.
