BMI:Body mass index;BUN:Blood urea nitrogen;DBP:Diastolic blood pressure;FPG:Fasting plasma glucose;HbA1c:Glycated hemoglobin;HC:Healthy control;HDL-C:High-density lipoprotein cholesterol;HOMA-IR:Homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance;LDL-C:Lo
Baseline Characteristics No significant differences were found in age, gender, body mass index, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol,triglyceride,high-density lipoprotein,low-density lipoprotein, serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen among these four groups(P>0.05).However,diabetes duration, fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)and homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)in patients with T2D were increased significantly compared to HC group(P<0.001).Additionally,of patients with T2D,diabetes duration,HbA1c and HOMA-IR in PDR and NPDR group were increased significantly compared to NDR group(P<0.05).Furthermore,diabetes duration and HbA1c in PDR group were increased significantly compared to NPDR group(P<0.05).Baseline characteristics of the recruited subjects are listed in Table 1.
