:Values shown as median[interquartile range(IQR)];:Postoperative complication was defined as≥grade III according to Clavien–Dindo classification.NA:not available.

Spearman’s rank correlation test showed that there was no significant correlation between the amount of administered albumin during operation and pre-/postoperative serum albumin values(rho=-0.13 and-0.15,respectively;P>0.05;Fig.3).The number of patients with post-operative ALBI grade I(post-op grade I),II(post-op grade II)and III(post-op grade III)were 1(1.3%),59(73.8%),and 20(25.0%),respectively(Table 2).Within these groups, repeated hepatic resection(P=0.012),bleeding during surgery(P=0.006)and surgery duration(P=0.033)were confounding to post-operative ALBI grade. Both overall survival and recurrencefree survival were worse in the post-op grade III group than those of the post-op grade II group(Fig.4);the 1-,3-,and 5-year overall survival rates were 93.1%,93.1%,and 81.1%,respectively,in the post-op grade II group, and 80.0%,68.9%,and 55.1%,respectively,in the post-op grade III group(P<0.001).The 1-,3-,and 5-year recurrence-free survival rates were 86.0%,54.3%,and 47.2%,respectively,in the post-op grade II group, and 52.8%,29.3%,and 19.5%,respectively,in the post-op ALBI grade III group(P=0.015).Multivariate analysis of survival revealed that post-operative grade was an independent risk factor of death and recurrence[post-op grade III vs.post-op grade II:for overall survival,P=0.035(Table 3);and for recurrence-free survival,P=0.024(Table 4)].
